We didn't have to wait long for this year's meeting. On Friday, 24th of March at sundown, the second stork has arrived on the nest in Vlaha. The odds are that the first stork was last year's Miska, and the second one was last year's Leske, but we can't know for certain.
Miska didn't leave even 5 minutes of rest for Leske, they began to mate almost immediately. They repeated this frequently in the following days. On the second day they already had to defend the nest from an uninvited guest, who then proceeded to rest for a while on the peak of the Calvinist church.
In the last 6 years, the first egg appeared in the nest 7-14 days after mating.
We shall keep an eye on the stork family, because there are interesting days to come.
