The first flight

For a few days now we can only see some of the kestrel chicks or sometimes none of them.

First the bigger ones tried their wings and flew around the surrounding trees and buildings, then they were shortly followed by the smaller chicks. Their first flights are not always successful and they might end up on the ground. In the case we find any fledlings, the best is to place them on a tree-branch or in a bush. Don't take them home! Their parents will continue feeding them until they can fly properly.
